Privacy

AutoShelf takes your privacy seriously. This policy outlines the minimal data practices for the app and website.

Data We Collect

AutoShelf the macOS app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All file organization happens locally on your Mac. The app operates entirely offline and does not make network requests.

The AutoShelf website (useautoshelf.com) uses Umami Analytics to collect anonymized, privacy-respecting usage data. Umami does not use cookies and does not track personal information. We also use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.

Local Storage Only

Your rules, settings, and preferences are stored exclusively on your Mac. Nothing is sent to our servers because we don"t have any. AutoShelf has no cloud sync, no accounts, and no telemetry.

App Store Purchases

When you purchase AutoShelf on the Mac App Store, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple provides us with anonymized sales data (e.g., number of downloads) that cannot be linked to individual users.

Third-Party Services

AutoShelf may interact with files from third-party services (e.g., Safari, Chrome, Finder) to read download metadata. This data never leaves your Mac. The website uses Umami and Google Ads as described above. The support form uses Web3Forms to send messages via email.

Children's Privacy

AutoShelf is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page. Your continued use of AutoShelf constitutes acceptance of any changes.
